FS#2745 Syndication modes : displaying a list ordered by date with most recent first

  Hi,
  
  I have a namespace "News" in which I add pages that I want to be available by a newsreader and to display on the main page.
  
  I use this kind of code for the main page :
  
    {{rss>.../feed.php?mode=list&type=rss2&linkto=current&ns=news reverse description 1h }}
  
  and give the following URL for the feed :
  
    {{ .../feed.php?mode=list&type=rss2&linkto=current&ns=news }}
  
  Unfortunately I can not get the list ordered by date.
  
  I tried to use "mode=recent" but then I have just one item displayed even if I add "&num=5" for instance.
  
  Would it be possible to get a way to do this ? Have I missed something ?

  Currently the properties of the 'recent' and the 'list' mode are:
  
  mode=recent:
  looks for the recent posts in the global changelog of the wiki.
  The length of the global changelog is determined by:
  - at least this number of items: https://www.dokuwiki.org/config:recent
  - and only keep more items when their age is younger than: https://www.dokuwiki.org/config:recent_days
  
  mode=list:
  Looks into the given namespace folder, and returns all its current pages as items, alphabetically sorted.
  
  Is it desired to add a sort options to the mode=list, that let also sort by date?
