The list of plugins [https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugins] is getting bigger and bigger. It would be beneficial for usability and load time to cut that down somehow.
A user reported that the table "is causing my tablet's browser to become unresponsive and sometimes crash" on

I'm not sure what would be a good solution, though. I can currently think of:
1. Show only the most popular plugins (up until 50 or so) and make the whole list available by clicking on a link ("remove filters" or "show all plugins (875)" or similar).
2. Add pagination (again, after 50 entries or so).
3. Don't show any plugins by default, but only the top bit (search, tags, filter). Maybe some random selections can be added below.
Either way, it needs users to use filters or search, otherwise the problem stays the same, but is at least one click further away.
