When using dokuwiki on a host with several addresses (two in my case), the cache contains img urls for the editing tool-bar images from the first editor (what a sentence...).
I have a dokuwiki server running in an intranet, local accessible to everyone in the house. It's used straight like
http://12.34.56.67/dokuwiki/
When I connect from home over internet to a router that has access to the dokuwiki server in the intranet, I use ssh to forward my TCP connection to that dokuwiki server (ssh -L 1234:12.34.56.78:80 the.router.com). I drop this line in my browser:
http://localhost:1234/dokuwiki/
Now when someone edited anything just after dokuwiki installation/setup from the intranet (local), I can hardly edit anything from home. The toolbar tries to load its images with a href to the intranet IP of the dokuwiki server (that does not exist outside the intra). They time out (it takes forever), and all the fine buttons aren't here. I have to do the editing using the ALT text of the buttons in case I don't remember the syntax.
Here an example screenshot of what I mean, using Safari's Activity window:
http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dokuwikirv8.png (taken after pressing "edit this page" and waiting for the button pics to timeout).
The problem was solved by emptying the cache and now I can edit fine from home. I haven't yet asked if my workmates have the same problem that I just before had...
HTH
PS: I'm not sure which severity level this should be assigned to
