FS#767 Exhausted memory size by reading big page
Backend
2006-03-25elMiro
I have converted the content of a huge article from my mediawiki with a script and moved the new created file to the pages directory. The first try to get the page rendered by dokuwiki failed so I started manually the indexer php script. This procedure did not help.
The page is of size 195015 bytes and can not be displayed.
The file permissions are properly set and there is enough memory available.
The error message I get after some seconds is as follows:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /srv/www/dokuwiki-2006-03-09/inc/parser/handler.php on line 645

Parsing and processing a document can take much more memory than the size of the plain text file. You should either split your document into multiple smaller pages (recommended) or increase the amount of memory a single script may use in your php.ini (recommended as well).
