FS#599 let users change their passwords
ACL & Authentication
2005-10-18
I really like docuwiki because of its plain text approach and its ACLs. One thing that I don't like about it though is that users currently doesn't appear to have the possibility to change their passwords. If I understand it right, the admin has to manually edit the corresponding conf file. Now wouldn't it be nice if the users had a preferences page where they could change their passwords? (The problem here probably is that in some server setups this would mean that the conf dir & file has to be world writeable. So maybe the config of normal users (not the admin) should go in a dedicated directory or so? Are there any plans to allow authentication by means of external services/scripts?)
Otherwise this is an excellent wiki. Thanks a lot.
(BTW, the email on the top wiki page "andi at splitbrain org" appears to be invalid.)
