I was typing bits of code using '' (tick-tick) to create preformatted text, but was frustrated to see that the parser is turning -> in those bits of code to HTML →s. Shouldn't all types of code blocks be unformatted? This doesn't occur when <code></code> (going into Doku's parser, not coming out of it) is used.
Sample input:
Also, though Smarty has objects, their functionality does not match other programming languages in that we can't do something like ''if object->variable > 5'' or ''object->variable+1''; both are syntax errors in Smarty. Also, getting values from object variables that are arrays; whereas ''array.key'' works, ''object->array.key'' is a syntax error.
Desired output:
Also, though Smarty has objects, their functionality does not match other programming languages in that we can't do something like <code>if object->variable > 5</code> or <code>object->variable+1</code>; both are syntax errors in Smarty. Also, getting values from object variables that are arrays; whereas <code>array.key</code> works, <code>object->array.key</code> is a syntax error.
DokuWiki's output:
Also, though Smarty has objects, their functionality does not match other programming languages in that we can’t do something like <code>if object→variable > 5</code> or <code>object→variable+1</code>; both are syntax errors in Smarty. Also, getting values from object variables that are arrays; whereas <code>array.key</code> works, <code>object→array.key</code> is a syntax error.
And while I'm at it... "There are unsaved changes, that will be lost." The comma, is incorrect. It's pretty bad wording to begin with, though. What's wrong with good ol' "Unsaved changes will be lost." ?
