FS#316 TOC anywhere in body
Customization
2005-05-11
Currently you can turn off the table of contents with the --NOTOC-- directive.
What would be nice is if you could say where the table of contents should go within your page, e.g. replace a --TOC-- directive with a table of contents.
If you have a long document with long section titles, the current style of TOC quickly looks very messy. I would like to have a TOC which spans the whole page (currently possible just by editing the CSS), but also is within the content of my page, for instance:
====== This is my page heading ======
//This is an abstract of the contents of this page
--TOC--
===== Actual content =====
Now the actual content begins...

Yes, would be great, but then it should use normal or different formattings.
