FS#2911 Ignore invalid HTTPS certs when downloading RSS
Syntax
2014-01-10harvie
Hello,
i am using internal dokuwiki rss syntax like {{rss>https://... to download RSS/ATOM feeds from https-only services, where http is not supported, however they use snake-oil certificates and there is no way for me to fix it.
Can you please add option to ignore TLS errors in RSS? Something like this:
{{rss>https://... author date insecure}}
Or if you don't think that RSS can be security issue, you can ignore it completely...
thx

Hmm, verification could be turned off by providing an appropriate stream context. However, the default is off for verify_peer anyway (http://www.php.net/manual/en/context.ssl.php). Are you sure you have a certificate problem and not some kind of other connection problem?
No feedback given. See discussion linked in pull request. Ignoring certs is default in PHP, if PHP was reconfigured it's not our place to disable it again.
