When I create a sidebar for the "dokuwiki" template that has an ordered list with 10 or more entries, the indices are not displayed correctly. Only the last digit is visible.
I suspect the reason for that is the "padding-left: 0" entry in <design.css> for "ol" and "ul" (same with "padding-right: 0" for RTL).
Lists on a regular page have "padding: 0 0 0 1.5em" in <basic.css> and thus display nicely.

Hmm, this is a tough one. I mean, it is easy to fix, but I'm not sure if a fix would be a good *design* choice!?
Back then I was aware of this problem, but decided against it. At the moment lists in the sidebar look neat because they start close to the left-hand side. Adding a "padding-left: .5em;" for lists would allow 2-digit numbers to show properly (but not 3-digit ones) and looks fine in general, but not as nice as without it.
How did you come across this bug? Did you find it in a real world scenario that makes sense or just by playing around with the sidebar? I ask because I am wondering how many people are really using 2-digit ordered lists in their sidebar and why?
Another solution would be to remove the "overflow: hidden;" from the sidebar container, but that can cause other issues.

I have a number of (externally created) wiki pages that each make up one chapter of a large documentation (11 pages in this case). I wanted to use the sidebar as the table of contents to those chapters and just used an ordered list for that.
Of course there would be alternatives to an ordered list, but to me it was the "natural" approach.

We decided that allowing 2 digits is a good idea. So, I will change the padding to .5em.
