FS#2531 Media Manager reports "Failed" when uploading any image in Firefox 13.0
Image sizes: any (tried 16kb - 500kb)
Browser: Firefox 13.0
Install type: locally on desktop computer.
I installed PHP + Dokuwiki on a USB stick.
PHP: QuickPHP 1.14.0
DokuWiki version: dokuwiki-2012-01-25a.tgz “Angua” (includes Hotfix 1)
OS: Win XP SP3 fully updated
In IE8, this error does not occur; everything goes fine.
Permissions for file writing are set correctly (I mean: the USB-stick is not write-protected).
Clearing the FF browser cache did not help.
Disabling all FF extensions / add-ins did not help.
Searching the forum / buglist / google did not help.
(Note: I know *nothing* about PHP or webservers)
Tnx for help in advance!
Manual copy of images to Dokuwiki data directory works and images are visible correctly in browsers.
The problem reproduces in Google Chrome 19.0.1084.56 m
I tried to upload images and other files in both media managers, I tried smaller and bigger files and also different languages (all in Angua and the current devel version), but I cannot reproduce this issue at all. Unless someone can reproduce it, unfortunately there's not much we can do about it.
What template are you using?
If you're not using the default template, it might be that you just see the message "failed" although it uploaded alright. That's a know issue if your template is not up-to-date. (Templates need to copy/add styles for the media manager.)
Hello Anika, Thanks for looking into it! I really appreciate it!
The default template was used from clean installs. The problem does *not* appear for clean installs at two of my hosting providers in Firefox (in the mean time updated to version 15.0.1). However, the problem *still* appears using QuickPHP as a local installation. So it seems that the problem occurs for the specific combination of QuickPHP and Firefox (and maybe still some other browsers). Again, in IE, all goes fine. PHP maximum execution time was set to infinity. Can anybody reproduce this issue using QuickPHP?
Same issue here with Firefox 13 and 15 in combination with quickphp. Also the installation of plugins with the plugin manager does not work.
It happens to me too. Chrome 23.0.1271.95 m / QuickPHP 1.14.0 / DokuWiki 2012-10-13 "Adora Belle"
It works fine when trying with Apache HTTPD (but I would like to use QuickPHP)
For me too. Firefox 17.01 / QuickPHP 1.14.0 / DokuWiki 2012-10-13 "Adora Belle"
