FS#2384 ACL Selection Problem
CSS, XHTML, JS, Browsers
2011-11-17senorandy
In the ACL when you click a namespace in the namespace panel on the left hand side, the right hand side of the screen is not updating. Therefore at the moment, you can only adjust the access list directly on the server. IE8, PHP 5.3.8, Clean install Angua.
I have had a similar issue. I was getting the error:
'Notice: Undefined variable: HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA in [PathToDokuwikiRoot]\lib\plugins\acl\ajax.php on line 10'
every time I changed namespace in the namespace panel (although it did change namespace in the right panel)
I fixed the issue by changing line 10 of ajax.php from:
if(!count($_POST) && $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA){
to
if(!count($_POST) && isset($HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA)){

Steve, please open new bug reports when your issue is different from the original one. I fixed your problem in a09383ea
Still investigating the Andy's IE8 problem...

Andy, I can't reproduce your the problem you describe in IE 8.0.6001.18702 on Windows XP. Do you get any JavaScript errors?

I couldn't reproduce this either on 8.0.6001, nor on IE 9 in any of the available modes (compatibility, 8, 9).

After some discussion on IRC, Steve's and Andy's where most probably related after all. When using gzip compression, the error described by Steve would create a corrupt response that can't be interpreted by the browser at all. Thus it wouldn't change the info panel. I consider this fixed.

Yep, that seems to have solved it. Sorry for the lack of feedback yesterday. The next time I find a bug :-) I will try and join in with the discussion that follows.. Cheers for the fix!
