Im screwing around with an <rgb></rgb> idea. ie the prev example would technically be black, while <Rgb></Rgb> is red and <RGb></RGb> is yellow.
I wont be using it much, just as an attention grabber on some postings.

As a test, modified /inc/parser.php, added in the
"function simpleformat($text){" area the following
$text = preg_replace('#<red>(.+?)</red>#is','<font color="red">\\1</font>',$text); //Red Text
$text = preg_replace('#<blue>(.+?)</blue>#is','<font color="blue">\\1</font>',$text); //Blue Text
$text = preg_replace('#<green>(.+?)</green>#is','<font color="green">\\1</font>',$text); //Green Text
this gives tags <red>..</red>, <green>..</green>, and <blue>..</blue>
which is fine to add some colour to some spots. Does anyone want to define better name tags so we have some standard?

Solved by, take your pick:
- bbcode plugin, [color] syntax
- hilight plugin
- syntax plugin tutorial's color plugin
- div/span shorthand plugin & your own style sheet additions
