FS#2247 Make notification e-mail distinguishable
Backend
2011-05-05mrtux
I'm having trouble with configuring an e-mail filter to catch notification e-mails from the DokuWiki. The reason is, that there is no reliable way to distinguish these e-mails from other apache mails. It would be nice if there were a special header field added to the e-mails, or something like "DokuWiki" in the "User-Agent".

All emails have a prefix in the Subject which should be easy to catch in any mail filter.
There was also some discussion to set the Keywords header (http://www.freelists.org/post/dokuwiki/patch-Allow-easier-mail-filtering) but this hasn't been added, yet.
It would probably make sense to set an X-Mailer header as well.

We send the mails through a mailing list, which makes Subject checking somehow unreliable. I can also filter by sender/receiver and some server characteristics. However, it would be nice to have a reliable way of recognizing DokuWiki notifications (without having to maintain an extra mailing list).

Does the value of $conf['mailfrom'] (http://www.dokuwiki.org/config:mailfrom) also becomes unreliable through the Mailinglist mechanism?
