Hm-m, when looking at ü (http://www.dokuwiki.org/?do=search&id=%C3%BC), the ID search is romanized (which is probably correct), but the fulltext search seems indeed to look for the non-romanized version, only the snippet generation fails for some pages. The hit count seems to be quite wrong, though. For tips:pdfexport:htmldoc it’s ok, but for sv:syntax it’s completely off.

It seems like it's only a problem when using short queries

http://www.dokuwiki.org/start?do=search&id=n%C3%A4r works as expected

i don't observe strange behavior at http://www.dokuwiki.org/?do=search&id=%C3%BC
but sv:syntax isn't in the list anymore.
