FS#2018 Incorrect encoding when using the XML-RPC API

When retreiving a file via the method 'wiki.getPage' with encoding in the XML-RPC client specifically set to UTF-8, the return value of the method does return UTF-8 according to the HTTP headers, but the character ë (ë in HTML, \"e in latex (in case the encoding for this form doesn't work)) is returned as \xEB, which is the value encoded in ISO-8859-1.

Tested with a release of Debian Stable, using DokuWiki version 2009-12-25c "Lemming", XML-RPC client Frontier::Client (Perl) version 0.07b4-4

DokuWiki stores all data in UTF-8 and our XMLRPC library does not contain any charset conversion features. This is most probably a problem in your Library/Script/Perl Setup. Can you provide a test script?
