Unicode characters will cause error using the XMLRPC interface with Python. -

Replacements use UTF-8 instead of HTML Entities to ensure higher compatibility with non-HTML Renderers (eg. the ODT-Plugin). XML-RPC works via XML which should be fully UTF-8 compatible. If it breaks in your specific library file a bug with that library.
