Stranger things have happened, so I have heard, but I just made four separate attempts to download the current build in both IE8 and FF 3.6 and upon attempting to unpack them, both 7.zip and WinRAR give me a "dokuwiki-2009-12-25c.tgz: CRC failed in \dokuwiki-2009-12-25c.tgz. The file is corrupt" messages.
I find this especially strange considering I downloaded the package and updated our web install when it first was released. As I eluded to above, in 30 years in this field, I have heard of such things happening due to whatever bizarre and usually not all too pleasant issues with a user's system, but have NEVER personally experienced said behavior.
Could anyone confirm that the current build dokuwiki-2009-12-25c posted on the main DukoWiki page is in fact OK? As much as I hate to say it, I certainly hope it to be corrupt as I shudder to think what might cause such an issue on one of our mission critical machines here and wouldn't have the vaguest clue as to what or where to look for a problem...
I thank everyone in advance.
*UPDATE*
If it is of any consequence or importance at all, the nightly build downloads unpacks and checks out OK, so I am of the school of thought that the file is indeed corrupt on the server itself, or is somehow getting corrupted via its path from the DukoWiki project servers... (Thankfully for me, not so much for this wonderful project...)
Here is the file hash of what is getting downloaded from the DukoWiki main page:
SHA-1
53D4275A
I will also attach the file if it is of any help as well; perhaps if the cause is malicious in nature it might be of some help as well...
