After updating dokuwiki from 2009-02-14b to 2009-12-25 "Lemming" I noticed additional whitespace at the bottom of each page in the backend on which an editor is displayed.
(See an image here:
http://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/4787)
It seems that this is caused by the new toolbar picker code, that is inserted through javascript before the closing </body>-tag
<div id="picker0" class="picker pk_hl" style="position: absolute; margin-left: -10000px;">
<button...
...
</div>
<div id="picker1" class="picker" style="position: absolute; margin-left: -10000px;">
<button...
...
</div>
<div id="picker2" class="picker" style="position: absolute; margin-left: -10000px;">
<button...
...
</div>
The height of that added whitespace is the same as the sum of heights of all initial "hidden" toolbar boxes ("select Headline", "Smileys", "Special Chars").
After pressing each corresponding icons the first time, the whitespace disappear bit by bit.
I see this happen with
Firefox 3.5.7 (Windows), Iceweasel 3.5.6 (Linux) and also with a very old IE 6.0 SP2,
but NOT with Epiphany 2.29.3 (a WebKit-based Browser for Linux).
The same is true for the Discussion-Module (which uses the same editor).

thorn.
