Hello there.
After upgrading from 2009-02-14 to 2009-12-25, the URL on the logo (top right on default template) added a trailing slash. Therefore, the URL changed from something like:
http://gsiwiki.estradas.pt/doku.php
to
http://gsiwiki.estradas.pt/doku.php/
This last URL gives an error of "file doesn't exist" referencing a "index.php". It works ok if I remove the trailing slash on the location bar of the browser.
It happens with all browsers I tested. -

More info: the problem seems to happen only with the start page (ie http://gsiwiki.estradas.pt/doku.php/). All other pages work fine with or without the trailing slash (for example, http://gsiwiki.estradas.pt/doku.php/sistemas/projectos/ works). The error I mentioned ("file doesn't exist" - our install is in portuguese, I just translated the text) is a DokuWiki error, not a webserver error (it asks for the creation of "index.php" page) -

I cannot reproduce the problem. Maybe it has to do with PHP running as a CGI task? -

I solved this problem by setting 'basedir' option.
I printed the debug output from 'http://myserver/dokuwiki/doku.php/?do=debug' and got the attached output.
I found that $INFO["id"]=>"index.html" and it should have come from $_SERVER[PATH_TRANSLATED]=>"/var/www/index.html" because it's the only occurrence of 'index.html'.
I grepped dokuwiki sources and found getID uses $_SERVER[PATH_TRANSLATED] and checks $conf[basedir] first.
So I set 'basedir' option and it works not.
Nogueira's debug output doesn't have $_SERVER[PATH_TRANSLATED] because it's an output of '/doku.php?do=debug' which is normal.
I stopped to dig into the problem more and not sure whether dokuwiki, PHP or apache is wrong.
