When i Upload a tar.gz - archiv on my dokuwiki install with the integrated php-uploader all works fine, but when i download it and try to extract it, i get an error that the archiv is defect.
Before the upload (with file):
filename.tar.gz: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last modified: Sat May 9 20:17:16 2009
After the download (with file):
filename.tar.gz: POSIX tar archive (GNU)

Your browser (wrongly) decompressed the file during the download. It can be extracted with 'tar -xvf filename.tar.gz'. You can usually avoid this problem with naming your file .tgz instead of tar.gz.

Which browser do it the right way? I have w3m, firefox and opera tested, only with w3m is it possible to unpack it with tar xvf - the other downloads are defect. With .tgz the same problem. I haven't problems with tar.gz downloads in the past. What does fetch.php do? Can be there the problem?
Thanks for your help.
