I am using DokuWiki as a repository for PHP, and other, code. The coloured DIFF system is great for tracking changes, per file, between sub-versions.
The 'Edit Summary' for each change contains the "real" date for that code, and the version number, etc.
I would like an Admin feature where the "Edit Summary" for any version of a page can be amended at a later date. Sometimes there is additional data that needs to be attached to old versions of code, and in this case a 'revert' is not what is needed.

Are there any hints as how to manually edit the document summaries, even if I have to download some files by FTP, edit them, and send them back to the website using FTP?
What files need to be edited? What else does this affect?
I have a project where all of the edit summary text for pages revisions is incomplete/meaningless and now needs to be amended to show what was changed in each revision.

You can manually change the summaries in the *.changes files in data/meta/
