Hello!
One feature I'd love is to be able to mark a page as "send me a diff when this page changes", kind of like what QwikiWiki does. But even better, if we can use DokuWiki's sexy colorized diff.

I'd like to have that feature as well. Preferably, it would be possible to put one's mail address on a wiki page and then be notified about changes. This is a feature which would be handy when new techniques are being introduced in a company. When the usual mehods of .doc and .xls are being replaced by a wiki, the wiki itself is enough new stuff for the users, and asking them to install an RSS reader to be notified of new content on the wiki might be asking just too much. E-Mail is already there.

If it makes any difference, I'd love to see this feature as well ;-) . I believe its the only feature the development group I'm with really wishes was there. Probably should only use the email addr from their login otherwise people could register (as well as un-register) addresses that they don't 'own'.

We have been using Dokuwiki for a few months now and find it very useful. We started using it in the development team but now the business team are also using it for lots of different things. The only thing they all complain about is the lack of a feature that allows them to be notified by email when certain pages change.
It would also be good to be able to define a list of users to be notified when new pages are added to a particular namespace.
For us, these additions would change this from being a useful tool to being a indispensable tool.
Good work

Around August 8th the 'subscription' patch was added that allows you to enable a button at the bottom of each page which should allow users to 'subscribe to changes'. This will send them an email on each page change. However, for this to work they must be logged in as that is currently the only way to acquire their email address (without creating a new form for it). There is an option in the dokuwiki.php config file called 'subscribers' that should let you do this.

The feature is implemented, so I would suggest the task to be closed.
