FS#1351 xhtml strictness for images and removing redundancy
CSS, XHTML, JS, Browsers
2008-03-14ach
In order to add image alignments to feeds, each aligned image has not only the corresponding "class='medialeft'", etc. but also an additional "align='left'", etc.
Apart from being invalid in XHTML Strict (not Transitional in which the DokuWiki default template is), this is *redundant* code!
AFAIK, it serves the only purpose to "style" a bit otherwise unstyled Feed-Content.
IMHO, Feeds do not need that single bit of "styling".
As Andi is reluctant to live without image alignments in feeds (and to remove it altogether), I would like to see that bit (http://dev.splitbrain.org/darcsweb/darcsweb.cgi?r=dokuwiki;a=headblob;f=/inc/parser/xhtml.php#l936) moved away from this general spot to another place where only the feed is affected.

Anika, does this request still apply to current release or better development revision?

Also can shed some light on how this would apply to HTML5?

Guy, yes, this hasn't been fixed and still applies.
