when encountering a syntax problem, there should be at least a warning instead of simply not showing the end of the page. This is confusing for user.
Ex :
* truc pouet
- //**toto//**
- LOL ;-) 8-)
is incorrect. It should be written :
* truc pouet
- //**toto**//
- LOL ;-) 8-)
but when you display the page, it fails silently and does not show anything from "* truc pouet" to the end of the page. The whole paragraph disappear but show in source... This small syntax problem is hard to find when you don't know what you're looking for.
Note that this only happens with lists, If the above is wrotten without the " *", it will show up (everything in bold from the toto line, but this is to be expected).
