FS#2048 Accounting system of user's activity
Backend
2010-10-06Malamut
We use Doku for public documentation resource (help.ubuntu.ru) and we are really lacking in the accounting system of user's activity. As I understand all revisions data contain information of an editor, so it will be greate if you add something like new action ?activity=username, which show a summary page of users's activity. For example as a list pagename - number of edits - percentage of added and changed data.

> pagename(s)
> number of edits
> percentage of added and changed data.
These plugins (claim to) satisfy the first requirement.
Both is too old and don't work with latest version.

I'll take a look and see if I can fix one (or both) of them, since this is a feature I want on my wiki. I'll edit one (or both) of their wiki pages as appropriate, so keep an eye on their changes.
Since this isn't a DokuWiki bug, I will probably not reply further here.

It's not a bug, but feature request. I think such basic function as displaying users activity should be in DokuWiki by default, in main program. Because it's a very important for all public wikies.

I think adding some basic filtering and some *basic* extra capabilities to DokuWiki might be a good idea. No need to add deep accounting features that not everyone is gonna need (I at least promote DokuWiki where I live on the basis of being quite light and less a resource eater than certain-other-wiki).

Up to what extend, adding these features to DokuWiki is desired?
The Editor Plugin can show listing of editors.
Aren't there already statistics plugins that provide the other info?
e.g. https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:authorstats Maybe this plugin can be extended with percentages, etc.

Accessing global authorship is not trivial to achieve with how DokuWiki stores changelogs. This would most likely need the introduction of another index. I think it's better handled in a Plugin.
