FS#1362 "@" being removed from login name prevents LDAP login using e-mail address
ACL & Authentication
2008-04-02nschoot
The "@" is not supported as token to be used in user name. Our LDAP userbase however uses e-mail addresses as login name.
Right now authentication always fails, since the "@" is removed (replaced) before the authorisation request is sent to LDAP. Resulting in users not being able to login.
Can this be changed? Why not support "@" for user names anyway?

@'s are not generally removed from the user name. A leading @ might be removed on ACL checks because a leading @ indicates a group name in DokuWiki. But this should not a problem for email addresses as Username.
I just added another debug line to make sure the username is sent correctly.
